WAC have got the GOLD again…
WAC have achieved the FORS GOLD accreditation again following an indepth system audit and inspection at the end of last year. The Gold standard is only awarded to exceptional operators who have met exacting targets against ever-changing government transport polices, meaning WAC customers can have the utmost confidence that only best practices are followed.
IMS Success across the board!!
Congratulations to the teams at the Cork Building Division and Walls & Ceilings Alcester and Bristol on achieving certification to all 3 ISO standards at audits carried out in late 2020. Huge amounts of work were involved in getting all 3 to the highest of IMS standards.
And there’s no stopping the old-hands either and TBP Dublin passed their 3-yearly audit with flying colours earlier this month.
Well done to all concerned and thank you for all your hard work!

Walls & Ceilings International Limited Digitises its Transport Systems with PODFather
WAC have introduced route planning, automated customer notifications and electronic proof of delivery software from PODFather. The system replaces the paper-based processes of old with an automated delivery management system, meaning WAC Logistics can look forward to, improving service, reducing empty running and optimising fuel usage, and that’s only for starters!
The PODFather system will be used to plan and optimise vehicle routes, gather vehicle check information, track deliveries, automatically send out customer ETA notifications, and collect electronic proof of delivery information via the driver smartphone app. With its cloud-based back office system and easy to use driver app, PODFather is another step on the way to the data driven future that meets WAC’s business growth and customer service objectives.

Walls & Ceilings have recently launched a new website aimed at bringing our trade tools and associated products to companies, tradesmen and the general public alike.
The site enables customers to choose from over 100,000 products, including hand tools, garden tools and workwear, pay online and have the order delivered to their door.

Tennants Building Products Cork are in Business!
After substantial renovation works, TBP Cork are now the proud residents of a state-of-the-art contemporary office unit at Kinsale Road in Cork, alongside 25,000 sq ft of warehouse and yardage. Business commenced on Monday 20th January and the dedicated team at Cork are now helping our customers at every step of the supply process, right through from the initial enquiry to loading the product for transport.
The team are determined to build on the success enjoyed by our other Building Divisions and offer only the best products with the finest quality of service for which we are renowned.
Chemical Division at the NEC Commercial Vehicle Show
All of the Tennants companies in the UK that sell Greenox AdBlue had representatives manning the Greenox stall at the NEC in Birmingham earlier this year. Here’s our very own Chemical Division Sales Manager, Stanley, doing his stint.
The Commercial Vehicle show is the largest and most comprehensive road transport and logistics event staged in Britain where you’ll find close to 500 exhibitors spanning the whole road transport and logistics supply business.
And the Fleet is Expanding…
WAC took delivery of the latest addition to their fleet last month (see Lee with the new arrival above).
Julian tells us “the new Volvo FM460 8×2 Rigid is a genuinely flexible vehicle for regional and long-haul distribution. It’s adaptable to suit all of our transport assignments”.

We’re delighted to announce that WAC have won the prestigious FORS Gold award and are now part of an elite group of only 250 distributors nationally to be awarded the Freight Operators Recognition Scheme’s highest accreditation.
Director Julian Workman and Logistics Manager Lee Birch quickly saw that the benefits of working to such high standards would be of great advantage throughout all areas of the company and started the ball rolling last year.
It is a huge achievement for the company and a testament to all the hard work put in by everyone on the team.
