One of Walls & Ceilings top four suppliers, MURCO, which is based in Texas, USA, is responsible for the supply of the ‘Arrow’ branded drywall products that are a key part of the building divisions’ range. Now that WAC is part of the Tennant Group it seemed like a good time to pay a long overdue visit to reconnect and introduce the new management team.
The visit was a great success with much work completed on updating the technical data and labelling involved in the relaunch of the Arrow range.
Walls & Ceilings held trade days at both Alcester & Bristol branches where the teams had the opportunity to spend quality time with customers & suppliers, many of whom took the opportunity to demonstrate new techniques and products. Both days were a huge success with nearly 75 customers visiting overall.
Errigal Contracts, one of the building division customers, held a charity gala in August in aid of the Ataxia Foundation Ireland and the Children’s Leukaemia Charity.
Companies from all over Ireland and the UK joined a group from Tennants on the night, when some €70,000 was raised at the gala held in the Errigal grounds.
A Tennants-made product is gaining a large market share across industries using AdBlue in Northern Ireland, selling a record ** 1 MILLION LITRES ** this year.
In October our Chemical Division completed an investment totalling over £10,000 in the installation of 2 new AdBlue tanks with Telemetry (which, for any tech-curious readers, is an automated communications process by which measurements and other data are collected at remote or inaccessible points and transmitted to receiving equipment for monitoring). These tanks, combined with the provision of a full service package, open up new opportunities and will allow us to compete for the major contacts in Northern Ireland against the well-established AdBlue companies.
